Yes, I know I am using the word ‘guru’ – which means teacher. I have never met any person nevermind a holistic practitioner who has that number of degrees and qualifications and has travelled so extensively studying in different countries all around the world! I look forward to the workshops and seminars she will start giving later this year! It would be an honor to hear her speak and divulge her extensive knowledge.
The interview on KtC Radio with Gabrielle was very interesting, she had some wonderful coaching gems to share with entrepeneurs gorwing their businesses, and spoke about her successes – thngs that workded for her along the way, and the challenges – tidbits of advice of haow she would do things differently and pitfalls to watch out for. We also covered the ‘poverty’ mentality that a lot of the holistic profession have and she talked about how she brought abundance into a her life!. Gabrielle has had an amazing journey – with a businesscalled Backstage Productions providing holistic care for rock stars and the band for y years – bands like the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Bruce Springteen and Red Hot Chillie Peppers to name a few!
I call her a change catalyst and a spiritual entrepeneur, definitely a role model for the industy of alternative and integrated medicine.

filling the piggy bank
Hi all holistic practitioners and coaches!

I noticed when I was attending a networking group comprised mainly of holistic practitioners and coaches – that the biggest issue for them was around marketing and how to get clients! This is a combination the coaching aspect – getting past your own fears or blocks, but also have the basic principles of getting out there in the right way and speaking to the right people. This will be an exciting opportunity to grow your business especially what can be seen as a shaky economic climate. I am hoping to have someone to interview on this topic – TBA! Hi all you wonderful people out there, trying to get your businesses off the ground, or growing your businesses!
I attended my monthly networking meeting this evening – the Holistic Healing Network Alliance, where a number of coaches and holistic practitioners meet and network. We had a wonderful guided meditation at the beginning of the evening by our leader Jill. It was a wonderful way to lift the energy through the chakras, and create a little vortex of energy to tap into – concept I am still a little new to, but hey, I’m open!
Now what I really wanted to say, is that when we shared about what our intentions for our businesses were, it was interesting to see how few people were actually clear on what they wanted! Have you heard of the Law of Attraction folks!? Well, the universe provides what you ask for, but you have to be really clear about what it is that you want! If you have a fuzzy idea … well you will get cotton wool back! Creating a vision for your business is key to creating success, whatever that might mean to you! This vision can change over time, but its important to start with some clear intentions or focus on what you are trying to create!
I recommend Michael Losier’s book The Law of Attraction, if you would like to find out a bit more, or would like a simplistic view on how to apply this concept. He has some great worksheets on his website to use as exercises.
So know what it is you are shooting for, and if you can’t figure it out, or need some help, get yourself a coach! I do no obligation free consultations, so its an opportunity to investigate and determine whether this is the right step for you. It might make all the the difference!
